By Air :-

The nearest airport is kullu-Manali Airport which is 50 km from Manali India located in Bhunter. Flights are avilable to and from Delhi, Chandigarh. From Delhi, it takes one & half an hour to reach kullu-Manali Airport.

By Road :-

The State Transport HRTC- Himachal Road Transport Corporation operates its well maintained fleet of Luxury and Ordinary buses to all the major destinations. Privetely operated bus service is also avilable within the state. Hired taxi service is also available easily.

By Train :-

The nearest railway station is joginder nagar which is 160 km far on Mandi-pathankot way is a narrow gauge track. Kiratpur is another railway station 260 km far on kulli- chndigarh highway.

1. Solang Valley

From January to march, it’s possible to ski and snowboard there, and a gondola carries visitors 1.3 kilometers up to the runs. After the snow clears, paragliding becomes popular.

2. Rohtang Pass

Rohtang pass a gateway to Lahaul and Spiti Valley in Himachal pradesh. Remains one of the most spectacular destintions in the entire kullu region. This picturesque pass is located around 51 km away from manali, at a height of 3980 meters on manali keylong highway. This mountain slope is so beautiful that people from every corner of the country visit this place to take part in adventure sports such as skiing,ice-skating , paragliding etc. The Rohtang pass is open for tourist from April to October and the permission to travel on this highway is given by the Indian Army, once they clear the snow.

3. Hadimba Temple

Stop by Dhungri forest on the way to Old Manali to visit the ancient Hadimba Temple. The temple, a four-tiered pogoda, was built in 1553 and has a facade of wood carvings. It’s dedicated to goddess Hadimba, the wife of bhima from the Hindu epic The Mahabharata.

4. Vashist Temple

Vashist is situated on the opposite side of the Beas River, about 15 minutes uphill from Manali town. It’s open from April to October and regular spiritual retreats are held throughout the regular season. Otherwise the main attraction are temples and hot springs.

5. Old Manali

You will find the relatively peaceful village of Old Manali, which is dotted with simple traditional style homes. Old Manali is a laid-back traveler center and the road here is lined with guest houses, cafes and small shops ideal for chilling out and watching the world go by. The Manu Temple is located in Old Manali, at a distance of 3 km from the main market. Though this area is quite congested, the presence of the river Beas adds to it’s attraction. The temple is one of the prime attraction in manali and is believed to be the same place where sage manu meditated after stepping on earth. This place has a distinct historical background that appeals to most of the people who visit Manali.

The powerful Beas River flows rapidly through Manali and provides plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation in it’s water and along it’s Banks. However due to the rapid flow of the river, it can be quite dangerous even for the most experienced rafter, especially after the snow melts in the spring and the water levels rise. If you should prefer to be more active while visiting the Beas River, zip-lining across it and rafting down it and rafting down it are popular options.
